In the heart of the Bugey Massif, there are many livestock farms:

  • L’escagotière in Valromey sur Séran (06 16 71 78 41),
  • Honey making – Frédéric Lantelme in Vaux Morets (04 79 87 52 65)
  • Ewe’s milk cheese – la Blada farm
  • Meat – Black Angus Varoux agroecological farm in Champagne en Valromey,
  • Spirulina – l’Etoile Verte in Motz : they propose their production and show their farm.

These are family farms, you get as close as possible to the territory. The children hear the animals and are excited to participate in the milking of the cows and goats. The many explanations from the farmer, the laughter of parents and children, you will discover the agricultural world. You will have time to ask questions about the animals’ lives, their jobs and the region. You will be able to discover the numerous dairy farms in the region, such as Brénod or Champagne en Valromey, where Comté cheese is made.

The processing of the products will be discussed but you will also have the opportunity to taste them. A real treat! You will be delighted with this discovery.

Located 24 km from the campsite, it is a sheepfold. The shepherds Pierre and Priscillia wanted to set up the breeding of ewes, they make their yoghurt and ewe’s milk cheese, but also. They have set up a sales area to sell their products and promote the short circuit. A wide range of cheeses has been added to the farm. Native of the region and attached to the land, they will welcome you with pleasure in their farm and will present you the site and its environment. The passion that drives them can be felt in the enthusiasm and pride they have in explaining their trade with passion. Children will be touched by their animals. You will certainly be seduced by this farm.
