Annecy

About 48 km from the campsite Le Vaugrais, discover Annecy with the beauty of its harmonious landscape, but also by the quality of the water of the lake which made it the purest lake in Europe. Tourists can enjoy a wide range of sporting activities. Water activities (swimming, sailing, water skiing, diving …), cycling, but also mountain activities (hiking, mountain biking, via-ferrata, canyoning, paragliding….) everything is possible! As for cultural activities, they are rich in visits to museums (Lake Annecy Ecomuseum, Paccard Museum) and castles (the lords’ keep, Monrottier castle, Clermont castle, Thorens castle…).

Very touristy all year round, Annecy remains a very pleasant city to visit. Around the lake, the old town with its many restaurants, cafés and shops attracts many onlookers.
