Lake Bourget

(about 14 km from the campsite) More than a dozen full equipped beaches will enhance your family afternoon. The ship company of Lake Bourget offers cruises to explore the wild coast of the lake.

The aquarium of Lake Bourget is open to all, and will make the delight of children by allowing them to touch some fish. You will discover the fauna and flora of Lake Bourget.

Hautecombe Abbey overlooks Lake Bourget. Open all year (except Tuesday), it was founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks. The abbey has become the necropolis of the House of Savoy, it houses graves, and the last King of Italy Umberto II of Savoy. All nationalities are welcome through the audio tour, which will explain the rich history of the abbey, illustrated by more than 200 statues in marble, stone and gilded wood gracing the thirty tombs.
